The A-frame is designed to provide coverage for boats that do not have pulpit and push pit. The telescopic A-legs, which stand on the ground, support the frame and tarpaulin. On the boat, telescopic legs are positioned on the deck to hold up the frame in the middle. The frame is 11 meters long. This design provides the tarpaulin with a good slope, allowing snow and rain to slide off easily, while also being strong enough to withstand strong winds.

Aluminum frame system 11 meters (36 ft) long. Suitable for both motor and sailboats. Available in 8 different lengths. Suitable for boats without pulpit and pushpit. The frame system stands steady with a pair of legs on the ground both in the bow and stern. The deck legs (telescopic) are placed against the railing or other suitable location on the deck, cabin top, or cockpit. Always choose a frame system that is approximately the same length as the boat.

Winter covering the boat with a good tarp and frame system is important as both snow and ice can cause significant damage. A lightweight frame system is also much easier to handle than a wooden or steel scaffold. Furthermore, the aluminum makes the frame system not only light but also strong.

All aluminum frame system details are "tumbled" to get smooth and gentle corners, as a sharp corner is a possible source of friction against the tarp. In other words, the frame system has no sharp edges that can scratch gelcoat, damage pulpit/push pit if such exists, or destroy the tarp.

We recommend assembling the frame system at home the first time. Assembly is then much easier and smoother.

The overlaying tube (formerly known as crossbar) is assembled with NOA's unique joint lock, after which T-couplings for the supports (telescopic legs) are assembled. The frame system's telescopic legs make it easy to adjust both height and width as well as "roof angle" for different types of boats.

In the majority of our frame systems, NOA's versatile original fittings with plastic bushing are included, in others they are not. The fittings are well suited where you want to avoid galvanic currents against, for example, a stainless steel pulpit. Frame systems where NOA fittings are included are attached with a carriage bolt with a soft curved head and a wing nut. Always turn the wing nut inwards to avoid friction on the tarp. The screw is made of stainless steel A4 quality.
